UnifyID legal
Identity Verification Notice
What happens when you verify a document or complete a face check.
Version 1.0Effective 31 July 2026
The process
- Select an issuing country and supported identity evidence.
- A provider checks the evidence, available issuer data, liveness, and whether the person matches.
- UnifyID receives the verified attributes and result needed to create or update your identity.
- A privacy-safe proof may attest to the result without publishing the original document or sensitive personal data.
Possible outcomes
A check may pass, fail, require a retry, or be unavailable because an issuer or provider cannot respond. Failure or unavailability does not by itself mean fraud. You may retry, use another supported document, or contact support.
Accuracy
Review resulting information and use Data & Privacy to report inaccuracies. We may ask for additional evidence before changing an issuer-confirmed attribute.
